It's been 6 years since my dad bought me a guitar, a very poorly manufactured "Pyramid" brand which we purchased from Guitar Collections, Sunway Pyramid back in 2001/2002. It's neck and nut distance relative to the neck is way too high for comfortable playing (not about to talk about sounds yet), it hurts my finger even from the first time i played on it, but it is a very good machine to make my fingers rigid and strong for more advanced guitar playing!

I dont know if it's a blessing or otherwise that my first guitar was also the reason i gave up playing guitar until recently, i was compelled to see a better praise and worship in my very "grey" church. So i decided to take it out of the cupboard again to practise. It only took 1 week to prepare my fingers for more advanced guitar playing with this under appreciated old guitar of mine. I was changing chords and strumming freely after 1 month of playing on my "orphaned" Yamaha APX-T 1, left behind by my uncle who used to crash at my house (thank God).

Yet, im still not satisfied, i felt that i needed something with more ooomph, the Yamaha doesnt provide enough kick as lower end Yamahas give below mediocre sound quality. My dad doesnt allow me to touch the Yamaha anyway cos according to him, it still belongs to my uncle (who's never claimed it since he left 2/3yrs ago). I wanna bring a guitar that's mine, i wanna play for the CF!, i wanna play for my church!, i want to have a guitar which i could freely claim that it's mine! All my desires for a guitar just so that i could offer a sacrifice of praise and worship by playing Gospel tunes and singing to Him.

My prayer to the Lord is to be able to play the guitar so that i could play for a worship team and whenever i'm alone and in the call to worship alone. I dont intend to play it professionally, though i know, it is just eventual after years of constant guitar playing, exploring and experience (praise Him again), if it's what pleases Him.

A few hundred ringgit accoustic SC, Farida, SX etc with pickup for now would do just fine, just looking forward to the day that i'd be able to work for my own guitar! Or maybe God would just bless me through someone, ha ha.

Well, in the end, it still goes back to the conclusion that i love You, Lord! Please dont leave me, i'd rather lose everything than not having You, my God. How i long to worship You, through music, which is also how u drew me to You. (happy!)
